WOW--I can't wait to get Carson's pictures at 3 months!! I opened up my baby photo album at my Mom and Dad's house and was shocked to see the resemblence between my baby picture and my son :). HOW FUN to be able to compare pictures...

Oh Happy Day...or in this case NIGHT

I would like to announce that Carson Lowe slept through the night (11 p.m.-5:30 a.m.)on October 19, 2007. Man, was that nice. :)

Nothing better than FAMILY

Darren and Cherish (My Brother and Sister-in-law) came to town this week, and Mike's Aunt Barb came to visit also! We had so much fun hanging out with the family, and everyone got to meet Carson. Darren and Cherish are expecting their first baby (a little girl!) in December, so Carson has a cousin that will be perfect to hang out with :). We watched a lot of Rockies baseball (sorry Cherish) and spent time just talking and playing with Carson. We even celebrated Cherish's birthday while they were here. It is so nice to see them--I wish they lived closer!

Carson LOVED Aunt Barb. She is so much fun. We need to get out to Northern California to see her and Uncle Mitch and Darren and Cherish, and then road trip to southern Cali to see our other relatives. We need to take Carson to Disneyland sometime too!! :)

World Series here we come!!

Wow--this is a great time to be a Colorado sports fan. The Rockies have done it--and now the World Series is coming to Denver. We are really enjoying all of the hype :).

Carson had his 2 month doctor's appointment yesterday. He is doing GREAT. He weighs 14.3 lbs, and he displays a lot of characteristics that a 4 month old would have. His smiles make the world go round. Life is good!

Rocktober--A History through Pictures

October 6, 2006: Colorado Rockies vs Philadelphia Phillies GAME 3
Picture #1: The whole family goes to the game. Carson is introduced to Coors Field for the first time.
Picture #2: We tailgated before the game--I mean come on!! This is only the biggest game in Rockies History!!

Picture #3: Carson and I listened to the CU football game on the radio before going into the stadium.

Picture #4: You know times have CHANGED when there is a BABY BOTTLE in the drink cup holder!! :)

Picture #5: At the end of the 1st Inning, all of the stadium lights just shut off. At first I thought we were going to see some fireworks, and then I remembered that the game had just started. It took 15 minutes for the lights to turn back on. I wonder if someone said "hey, watch this" and just flipped a switch...it was cool at any rate!

Picture #6: You had to know that this bottle would get used with the way Carson eats! Mike was very good at multi-tasking!

Picture #7: In the 8th Inning, it became apparent that we were going to win this game--and all the brooms came out to show the SWEEP! It was one of the best sporting events I have ever attended. It was electric!

Picture #8: Rockies win and dogpile on the field!!! We are hugging and hi-fiving everyone around us. The stadium is SO loud that I was sure Carson would wake up...but he didn't :)

What a game--we were so glad to be a part of it. Carson won't remember that his first Rockies game was on their way to the World Series...but we will :).

The Rockies could sweep tomorrow...

I can't wait for tomorrow's Rockies game. We got tickets last week, and now the game is completely sold out--in fact ALL tickets for any game up to the World Series are sold out, so you can only imagine the ROCKIES FEVER that exists in Colorado right now. SO MUCH FUN!!

Powderpuff was Wednesday, and I got my annual ride on a Fire Truck with the Seniors as they made their grand entrance to the stadium. Fun night, except the JUNIORS won the football game. I was SO glad that I didn't have to go to school on Thursday!! :)

The Poms were hilarious--just a great group of seniors altogether. I was bummed that I had to leave early to get my learn on at U o P (University of Phoenix).

Mike, Carson, and I went to the Broomfield Football game last night. Of course the Eagles are 6-0 (I give all the credit to the Athletic Director--hee hee). Centaurus peeps--don't get mad about his shirt because I never GOT a little Warriors shirt!! He had to represent for the Eagles before this shirt is too small. He is growing SO FAST!

One of those moments that you won't forget

Even though I'm not teaching right now, I am very aware that it is Homecoming week at Centaurus High School right now. Some seniors called me and asked if I would still sponsor the seniors at Powderpuff (the girls flag football game on Wednesday). Of course I said yes--I do love this group of seniors, and I have supervised their practices before Wednesday's big showdown with the juniors. Last night they had practice under the stadium lights, and I must tell you that I really enjoyed seeing my high school kids :). We had a lot of fun as the girls ran their trick plays, and the boys (35 of them) practiced their "pom" routine that they will perform at halftime.

The best part of the night, however, came when the Colorado Rockies baseball team went into extra innings with the San Diego Padres and a playoff spot was on the line. Of course the "poms" were getting updates on their phones, and everyone started to really get excited about one of THE BEST games in Rockies history. We eventually tuned the game in on the radio--and there we were: 50 seniors and myself cheering the Rockies on in the middle of the football field. We used every superstition we could think of--the Rally Caps were out in force! It was SO FUN! Colorado ended up winning in the bottom of the 13th inning, securing a playoff spot for only the 2nd time ever--we already have tickets for Saturday's game against the Phillies!!

Finally, my son is smiling up a storm--and I can finally start documenting it! :)

GO ROCKIES!!!

I have two special post-pregnancy announcements...

#1...I no longer despise CHINESE FOOD!! I couldn't even stand the smell of it when I was pregnant, but it actually sounds good now. Panda Express Orange Chicken--here I come!! Yahoo

#2...I can wear MY JEANS again!! Hallelujah life is good :)
