We traveled to Cleveland, OH to visit our dear friends, the Shellbergs during the weekend of Dec. 5-7th. We had so much fun just hanging out, and Dawn and I even did a little shopping. It only reminded us how much we miss them--but it was so nice to see their new digs and let the kids play together. Maryn and Carson are 2 weeks apart--and both are pretty big for their age:

Joe HAD to represent with his CSU jersey (he is still fiesty, I see) and a mohawk. It was a well planned out and calculated wardrobe choice. :) Joe is doing great at school and has a whole crew of friends. It is hard to believe how grown up he is--since we met him when he was 2 years old!

The kids just played and played. Carson is holding a plastic banana in his hand that he played with for 3 straight days. And yes--he tried to eat it numerous times. :)

Here, Carson is sitting in a Little Tikes Car with a NEMO that he found in the toy box. He LOVED this car, and Santa Claus took note of this. Before we left to come home, Joe gave the stuffed Nemo to Carson...it was so sweet. He loves Nemo and gives him hugs all the time!

The Shellberg basement was a wonderland playroom!! Out of all the new toys at Carson's disposal, he went right for the lawnmower--which wasn't really a surprise since he is obsessed :). Carson LOVED hanging out with Ryan who is 3. They had a blast together.

Carson watched Ryan put together a train track:

And Ryan could make Carson belly laugh at will. They got along so well! (Dawn is in the background of this picture--heh heh I can't believe that I didn't take more pictures of "the adults" on this trip!!)

Ryan and Carson played chase so much that Carson was worn out at the end of the day. Carson looked up to Ryan a lot. It was really fun to watch them play.

Here is Maryn petting Stella. She is so cute!

Playing "House": where were these toys when I was a kid???

Like I said--Ryan and Carson were two peas in a pod :)

Joe and Mike renewed their Maddon Football rivalry. I believe that they each won a game, and then Joe won the tie-breaker:

I battled Joe is some heated Guitar Hero:

Nice Helmet, Ry!

We had a lot of fun, watched the Polar Express and Shrek the Halls, and played a rigged marbles game that was boys Vs. girls--I am still convinced Mike and Jere cheated. Good times--once again...with many more to come!
