Linking new things together...

Carson is growing up so fast and he is so smart and funny. One thing that we are noticing is how he associates things together and weaves them into his imagination when he is playing with toys--or just doing things like eating or taking a bath!

Since he loves his animals and "The Jungle Book" so much, he was REALLY excited when Tyler Crispin gave him this elephant costume! Now HE is an elephant too! Seriously--he is part of the herd. :)
He loved to wear this costume every day when he first got it. I loved him in it...
In this picture, I asked him for "just one more pic" so I could showcase the highwater pants and cute little round belly. This costume was so great in September and October, because it was often chilly outside and he would wear the costume (which is really warm). We went on walks and even to the playground with Carson dressed as an elephant!
Carson loves to bring his animals to the kitchen table to "eat" with us. He makes a leaf-chomping type of noise as each animal eats food. In these pictures, it looks like Lion, Hippo, and Mommy Elephant were invited to breakfast:
Yummy...Peach yogurt!
Hippo is actually IN the yogurt as well...
One day, Carson spent some time lining up all of his cars in a row. Mike and I mentioned how cool it was...
and then he pointed to his "How Does a Dinosaur Clean Up His Room?" book and showed us the dinosaur who put his toy cars in a row! Obviously, kids learn fast and retain much more than they are given credit for--Carson surprises and amazes us every day.

We are having so much fun watching Carson explore the world and experience life. It is really special to be a part of it all. I'm still waiting for a "Cape" phase... :)
