It couldn't have been set up any better. If I won the bet, FIVE neighbor kids had to take turns running twice up and down the culd-de-sac with the CU Flag in their little hands. I had planned to pull up a lawn chair and just watch them do it...I was really looking forward to it.
But then it happened. CU didn't win. This meant that CARSON (yes--I bet my own child) and I had to wear a CSU shirt for 3 straight days, and make an appearance at 3 different Birthday parties in our CSU shirts over the course of this year. I thought I would vomit. I had to wear the shirt to school. WE had to wear our shirts everywhere.
Here is the evidence: Jett, Jaylee, and Juju were gracious winners and didn't gloat...too much
Oh, that crafty Lopez family made sure Carson's shirt drove the loss home--"Start 'em young, Raise 'em right". I say again, UGH.
I think I taught those kids an important lesson about BETTING...either that or they are ready to go place bets in Vegas after their exhilarating win! They were definitely excited...I DID set an example of paying up when you lose a bet. One birthday down, 2 more to go!! :)
