Welcome to 2010!

January is such a let-down month after the holidays. We are now back into the routine and we have added a new adventure--Carson now goes to preschool 2 days a week! He loves it, even though he actually tries to get out of going sometimes by saying he is sick (where did he learn that????). :) Check out his school: http://www.goddardschool.com/Schools/Broomfield-CO/schools.gspx

Carson is now 2 1/2, and he is such a character. He still adores the movie CARS, and he simulates what is happening in the movie with his cars on the coffee table while we are watching it. It is pretty cool to watch, actually. Carson loves to read pretty much anything, and has started reading "by myself" where he has memorized certain books and reads them out loud to us. Of course we think he is just the smartest kid ever. :)

He had his first ear infection last week--a result of entering the germ pool call preschool. He was on 10 days of antibiotics and we entered the realm of trying to give a toddler nasty-tasting medicine. One day, he spit out some of the pink stuff and it landed on my shirt. Exasperated, I said "oh Carson--you need to swallow it! Now what shirt am I going to wear??". He said "Sorry, Mommy. How about a green one?" It is hard to stay mad at him when my lip is curling up to laugh. :)

He is quite athletic and loves playgrounds. He jumps on the guest bed a lot, and he can already do a somersault. He loves dinosaurs and made his Mommy and Daddy's jaw drop when he pointed out a Pteradactyl to us. How did he know that word? I probably didn't even spell it right in this post!! :) (Grandma Lowe had something to do with this--we found out later...)
