Carson's First Day of Preschool

On January 13th, 2010, Carson went to preschool for the first time. He was so excited about his new "Lightning McQueen" lunchbox, and of course he brought two cars with him to play with during the drive...

I was so nervous on the first day. I didn't know how I would handle it if Carson was screaming for me as I left, etc..

I won't lie--it was hard that first day to leave him. When I came to pick him up, his wonderful teachers told me that he cried for about 10 minutes, and they pulled up a little chair for him to sit in next to the door. He spent another 10 minutes in the chair, and then a little boy pulled up another chair next to Carson and asked him if he wanted to play. After that, Carson was enthusiastic and into everything--except YOGA. :)

The Goddard School is excellent! Carson has already moved up to the 2 1/2 year old "Crickets". He can count from 1-10 in Spanish, and he sings a lot more songs now! He is interested in potty training a bit...and he loves playdough. They have a rock climbing wall that is his favorite past time in the Rec room.

I am really glad that we decided to pull the trigger and get him into school for a couple of days each week. It has been 6 weeks now, and Carson is SO excited to go to school every Wednesday and Friday!
