But first things first: THE BACHELORETTE PARTY. We took Sarina to downtown Denver and stayed at the Marriott. To get things started, Sarina had some presents to open...
Sarina's sister-in-law Angela flew in from Chicago for the Bridal Shower and Bachelorette Party. She is so much fun, and she came prepared with some really fun gifts!
Here is our original group as we walked to Cru for some food and refreshment
Here is our entourage when we left Cru to head on over to the Sing Sing Piano Bar. The more, the merrier! :)
Here we are enjoying some good ambiance and great conversation at Cru--
At Sing Sing, you can tip the piano players to get someone on stage. Of course, Sarina ended up with her own serenade of "You Lost That Lovin' Feelin'". It was a good time watching her up there...
Here are all of the sad single boys who are serenading her during her last hurrah as a single gal!
June 7, 2008--06/07/08 THE WEDDINGI drove down to the hotel mid-morning to start getting ready for the big event. I took this picture as we were getting hair and make up done-
This picture officially shows me being the responsible Matron of Honor who is well prepared! I was so excited for the wedding, but really nervous about the toast I was going to give at the reception. More on that later...
Here are the girls: Drea, Katie, Sarina, Me, Sarah, and Mya the flowergirl.
So pretty!!
Just a little clowning around before the ceremony to calm the nerves...
The ceremony was a full Catholic Mass, and it was beautiful. I love this picture of Sarina & Cisco!
The Wedding Party...
The photographer took over 1000 pictures, and we were amused at some of the arranged poses. Here we are gazing at the married couple from afar... hee hee
Here we are cheering for Sarina...from afar hee hee
This is a great sequence--we were supposed to be looking at Sarina's new rock on her finger in admiration. I think we pulled it off...
For about 1 minute before we cracked up!!
The Girls with the Groom
And again...:)
I think this picture is cute, and it makes me think of the "Sound of Music" with the cuckoo clock in the Goodnight song. Maybe it is just me....but I doubt it!
One thing I really enjoyed about Sarina's reception is that there wasn't a head table for the wedding party. We got to sit with our families and Sarina & Cisco had their own table like they were on a date. It was unique! Both of our parents were invited to the wedding, so we had a great time at the reception as you can see below:
The reception was held at the Denver Botanical Gardens, so there wasn't much to decorate. The flowers were beautiful! I really wanted to give a good wedding toast for my BFF, so I actually prepared ahead of time with what I wanted to say. A little humor, a little advice...and a great irish toast at the end! It turned out pretty good. :)"May your love be modern enough to survive the times, and old fashioned enough to last forever".
Little Buddies having a moment:
I love this picture of Sarina and her dad Jim dancing. I know her parents very well because I went to Hawaii with them a few years ago. So cute!
As the dancing at the reception really got into gear, I was so happy to see Mom and Dad out on the dance floor cuttin' it up! They were quite the party-goers and had some great moves. I took this picture with my cellphone to immortalize the moment
Jack Brown took this picture of us at the reception. It was so fun to (almost) have the whole family there. Carson had a babysitter so we could actually stay for the reception. I can't wait for Carson to be older so he can show off his dance moves when we go to weddings!!!
